I have 30 years’ experience of leadership, senior management
and successful fundraising across the voluntary, public and private
sectors.
In 2004 I became Chief Executive of Bromley Mencap, an award
winning charity providing services to disabled people of all ages, carers and
families.
My previous roles include working at the BBC as the
Disability Employment Advisor and being the Chief Executive of Kingston Centre
for Independent Living.
For 6 years I was a member of the government’s Disability
Employment Advisory Committee, an internal body which advised Ministers on
national policy and guidance on the employment of disabled people.
I’ve been actively involved with BTSE since its foundation in 2017, first as a director when it was a Community Interest Company and then as an ex-officio Trustee from November 2020 when BTSE became a charitable Incorporated Organisation.
