I am a human rights lawyer with 25+ years of work experience in the UK and in SE Asia.
I am passionate about preventing abuse and violence against children and vulnerable adults.
After 10 years working as a litigation lawyer, I completed a Masters in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and another Masters in Child Studies. I went on to work for The Children’s Society followed by Surrey Children’s Services for a short period. I then moved into the international development and humanitarian sectors where I led teams in Tearfund, Plan International, War Child UK among others and travelled globally to support local communities.
As founding Director of Bridging Worlds Consulting Ltd, I now provide international NGOs and their partners strategic advice, support and training in safeguarding, gender, organisational development and programme quality.
In summer 2020 I became a Trustee for BTSE as I live in Bromley and wanted to do more to support the needs of the local community by providing oversight, leadership and good governance.
